1995-S Silver Proof Set Cent-Half Dollar PR 5 Coins Values
Details
Original Packaging: A two-piece, transparent plastic casing with frosted borders held a black fiberboard insert containing holes for the coins. Printed on this insert was the word “Silver” in silver script. The assembled set was slipped into a black cardboard box upon which the words “United States Mint Silver Proof Set • 1995” were printed in silver script.
Commentary: Another winning edition for collectors, those who made an effort to acquire this set from the Mint were handsomely rewarded. Sales were down from the previous year, and these coins are relatively scarce.
The silver Premier Proof set is another modern rarity, with just 130,107 sets sold. Again, the likely explanation is that collectors simply had to decide between the many Olympic coins offered and these routine offerings. It appears that most decided to overlook this set, which was now in its fourth year.
