1994-S Clad Proof Set Cent-Half Dollar PR 5 Coins Values

Details

Original Packaging: A two-piece, transparent plastic casing with frosted borders held a green fiberboard insert containing holes for the coins. This was slipped into a green cardboard box upon which the words “United States Mint Proof Set • 1994” were printed in silver script.

Commentary: The Mint’s traditional offering of the regular Proof set resulted in modest sales that were fairly typical of this period. Interest in current or recent coinage was very low at this time.

The Prestige Proof set for 1994 included the clad half dollar and silver dollar honoring the USA’s hosting of the World Cup games. Like Americans’ interest in soccer, sales were limited, with only 175,893 sets delivered at $57 apiece.
