£120,000 in Bills of Credit authorized by the Provincial Congress. Engraved and printed by James Oliphant. The four lowest denominations are 2 ½” x 3”, the next three are 2 ½” x 3 5/8” and the three highest are 2 ½” x 4 3/8”. Signers were John Berwick, P. Bocquet, Jr., Daniel Cannon, Philotheos Cheffelle, Paul Douxsaint, Alexander Gillon, G. A. Hall, William Heirving, Ralph Izard, Peter Leger, John W. McQueen, T. Middleton, Jr., R. W. Powell, Francis Salvador*, Berwick Simon, M. Simons, Anthony Simmons, Roger Smith, A. Toomer, Paul Townsend, Joseph Vivree, Benjamin Waring, and Edward Weyman.
*First person of Jewish faith to be elected to public office in America (Provincial Congress of South Carolina, 1774) and first soldier of the Jewish faith to be killed in combat in the American Revolution.
