The Greysheet Catalog (GSID) of the Issue of October 16, 1780 Clothing the Army series of Virginia Colonial Currency in the U.S. Currency contains 6 distinct entries with CPG® values between $325.00 and $3,150.00.

The amount of Bills to be issued pursuant to an additional Oct. 16,1780 Act was to be sufficient to buy 1,500 hogsheads of tobacco to create a fund “for the more effectual and speedy clothing for the Army.” A total of £1,125,000 ($3,750,000) was spent. Misspellings are deliberate and constitute secret marks. Printed by Dixon and Nicholson on very thin laid paper with no control letters. Blank backs. Signers were J. Hopkins, J.M. Simmons, Bolling Stark, James Turner, and B. Webb. Three signers appear on all denominations.
