About This Series

The Allied Military Currency series of France in the World Currency contains 48 distinct entries.
Begun in 1944, “Operation Wild Dog” was the Allied operation to print and circulate Allied Military Currency (AMC) under the authority of the Allied Military Government for Occupied Territories in France. Similar AMC issues also circulated in Germany (B601 - B608), Italy (B601 - B614), Japan and Korea (see Japan B501- B515 for both).
