1942-D/D Repunched Mintmark One Cent MS RD FS-502
Details
The 1942-D Lincoln cent is an extremely common coin and is readily available in all grades through MS65. Locating pieces in the grades of MS66 and MS67 is decidedly more difficult, though there are survivors even in MS68, so buyers definitely have opportunities to score nice examples, especially those who are willing to drop a few bucks to buy premium specimens.
Obverse: Bust of Abraham Lincoln framed by IN GOD WE TRUST on the top periphery. The word LIBERTY to the left of the portrait and the date and mintmark (If any) positioned on the right side.
Reverse: Wheat ears flanking the words ONE CENT, UNITED STATES OF AMERICA. The motto E PLURIBUS UNUM on the top perimeter.
