1909 Lincoln One Cent MS RB Values

Details

The Philadelphia-minted 1909 Lincoln cent without the VDB initials of Victor David Brenner is a common coin, though it does see some market pressure as both an important coin for Lincoln cent enthusiasts and among those who collect first-year type coins. There are ample specimens available in the BN and RB grades through the mid-range Gem uncirculated.

Obverse: Bust of Abraham Lincoln framed by IN GOD WE TRUST on the top periphery. The word LIBERTY to the left of the portrait and the date and mintmark (If any) positioned on the right side.

Reverse: Wheat ears flanking the words ONE CENT, UNITED STATES OF AMERICA. The motto E PLURIBUS UNUM on the top perimeter. Deisgner's initials of V.D.B. have been removed.
