Details
1935-S Lincoln cents are common coin in the circulated grades though is much rarer in the Gem grades. Pieces grading MS66 or higher are especially scarce and command high premiums, which are gladly paid by financially well-heeled registry set collectors who will throw out big bucks to stake a claim on the relatively few MS66 and MS67 specimens available.
Obverse: Bust of Abraham Lincoln framed by IN GOD WE TRUST on the top periphery. The word LIBERTY to the left of the portrait and the date and mintmark (If any) positioned on the right side.
Reverse: Wheat ears flanking the words ONE CENT, UNITED STATES OF AMERICA. The motto E PLURIBUS UNUM on the top perimeter.
