1928 One Cent MS BN Values
Details
1928 Lincoln cents are common and relatively affordable coins, even in grades up to MS65. But a look at population figures reveals something different when referencing super-nice Gems. These coins are scarce in all color designations in MS66 and rare in MS67 or better. Certainly, registry set collectors will lay down big money for those few top-end pieces. But many folks will be satisfied with any decent ' and a more economically friendly ' Mint State example.
Obverse: Bust of Abraham Lincoln framed by IN GOD WE TRUST on the top periphery. The word LIBERTY to the left of the portrait and the date and mintmark (If any) positioned on the right side.
Reverse: Wheat ears flanking the words ONE CENT, UNITED STATES OF AMERICA. The motto E PLURIBUS UNUM on the top perimeter.
