1924-S One Cent MS RD
Details
Similar to its same-year D-mint counterpart, the 1924-S Lincoln cent is a semi-key coin by every measure, even in circulated condition and particularly in uncirculated grades. In MS65RD and higher, the 1924-S is the second most-challenging issue behind only the 1926-S in that same grade range. Fully Red 1924-S Lincoln cents of any Mint State grade are extraordinarily tough to find, particularly pieces with few or no carbon spots.
Obverse: Bust of Abraham Lincoln framed by IN GOD WE TRUST on the top periphery. The word LIBERTY to the left of the portrait and the date and mintmark (If any) positioned on the right side.
Reverse: Wheat ears flanking the words ONE CENT, UNITED STATES OF AMERICA. The motto E PLURIBUS UNUM on the top perimeter.
