1924-D One Cent MS BN Values
Details
With the exception perhaps of 1922 pennies, few issues among the 1920s Lincoln cents draw as much attention as the 1924-D, a true semi-key date and one of the most challenging Denver-mint issues from any period in the series. Even in circulated grades, the 1924-D is a difficult coin to obtain and one that trades at fairly expensive prices. A decent number of Brown and Red-Brown uncirculated examples are available, though are quite scarce in MS65 or higher.
Obverse: Bust of Abraham Lincoln framed by IN GOD WE TRUST on the top periphery. The word LIBERTY to the left of the portrait and the date and mintmark (If any) positioned on the right side.
Reverse: Wheat ears flanking the words ONE CENT, UNITED STATES OF AMERICA. The motto E PLURIBUS UNUM on the top perimeter.
