1923-S One Cent MS RB Values

Details

The San Francisco Mint produced the only branch-mint offering for the one-cent coin in 1923, and it was a relatively low-mintage issuance at that, with fewer than 9 million S-mint pennies struck that year. Still, it is not considered a semi-key date and is a common coin, especially in the circulated grades. There is an ample supply of 1923-S Lincoln cents in Brown and Red-Brown uncirculated grades up through at least MS64.

Obverse: Bust of Abraham Lincoln framed by IN GOD WE TRUST on the top periphery. The word LIBERTY to the left of the portrait and the date and mintmark (If any) positioned on the right side.

Reverse: Wheat ears flanking the words ONE CENT, UNITED STATES OF AMERICA. The motto E PLURIBUS UNUM on the top perimeter.
