1923 One Cent MS RD Values
Details
The 1923 Lincoln cent is a common coin in circulated grades and offers ample supplies in Mint State grades up through the MS65, even in full Red. Many more pennies were made at the Philadelphia Mint in 1923 than during the low-mintage year of 1921, yet the 1923 cent still has the lowest mintage of any other Philly one-cent coin from the 1920s.
Obverse: Bust of Abraham Lincoln framed by IN GOD WE TRUST on the top periphery. The word LIBERTY to the left of the portrait and the date and mintmark (If any) positioned on the right side.
Reverse: Wheat ears flanking the words ONE CENT, UNITED STATES OF AMERICA. The motto E PLURIBUS UNUM on the top perimeter.
