1921-S One Cent MS RD
Details
Lower mintages in 1921 spurred by a sputtering post-war economy meant fewer Lincoln cents being made. And while the coin is plentiful in circulated grades and even in Brown and Red-Brown uncirculated grades through MS64, it is extremely difficult in grades of MS65 or above in any color. Fully Red specimens are especially elusive at any uncirculated level.
Obverse: Bust of Abraham Lincoln framed by IN GOD WE TRUST on the top periphery. The word LIBERTY to the left of the portrait and the date and mintmark (If any) positioned on the right side.
Reverse: Wheat ears flanking the words ONE CENT, UNITED STATES OF AMERICA. The motto E PLURIBUS UNUM on the top perimeter.
