1917-D One Cent MS RD
Details
1917-D Lincoln cents are common in circulated grades and more challenging in the uncirculated levels. Gems exist in adequate numbers and appear frequently enough in the marketplace that a collector or dealer trying to locate a nice specimen should find one without having to conduct a tiring search. However, it is difficult to locate any Red specimens grading above MS65, and very few exist in MS66.
Obverse: Bust of Abraham Lincoln framed by IN GOD WE TRUST on the top periphery. The word LIBERTY to the left of the portrait and the date and mintmark (If any) positioned on the right side.
Reverse: Wheat ears flanking the words ONE CENT, UNITED STATES OF AMERICA. The motto E PLURIBUS UNUM on the top perimeter.
