The 1916 Lincoln cent is a relatively common coin from circulated through Mint State grades, with plentiful examples even into the Gem levels. As with any early Lincoln cent, quality is key, and it is best to pick examples with good strike and even color, as these will always have a ready market when the opportunity comes to sell.
Obverse: Bust of Abraham Lincoln framed by IN GOD WE TRUST on the top periphery. The word LIBERTY to the left of the portrait and the date and mintmark (If any) positioned on the right side.
Reverse: Wheat ears flanking the words ONE CENT, UNITED STATES OF AMERICA. The motto E PLURIBUS UNUM on the top perimeter.
