Details
The 1911-S Lincoln cent is one of the toughest semi-keys in the series beyond the most prominent regular-issue Lincoln rarities, including the 1909-S VDB, 1909-S, 1914-D, and 1931-S. While a scarce coin, many examples offer good eye appeal thanks to the fact that most are well struck. The 1911-S Lincoln cent is scarce in Red-Brown uncirculated grades, especially above MS64RB.
Obverse: Bust of Abraham Lincoln framed by IN GOD WE TRUST on the top periphery. The word LIBERTY to the left of the portrait and the date and mintmark (If any) positioned on the right side.
Reverse: Wheat ears flanking the words ONE CENT, UNITED STATES OF AMERICA. The motto E PLURIBUS UNUM on the top perimeter.
