Obverse: Head of Liberty attributed to George T. Morgan, with Phrygian cap with LIBERTY incused on band. E PLURIBUS to left and UNUM to right, date below.

Reverse: Perched eagle holding olive branch (with three leaves) and arrows, somewhat similar to that used on the Morgan dollar except not as delicate. Around border, UNITED STATES OF AMERICA / TEN DOL.
