1865 Copper-Nickel Pattern Cent PR CAM J-405

Details

1865 Cent. Struck from regular dies. Obverse varieties include Plain 5 and Fancy 5 in date. Thick and thin planchet variations exist for J-405, indicating that such pieces were struck on multiple occasions over a period of time, no doubt as numismatic delicacies. Certain alloys are difficult to distinguish from others except by elemental analysis.
