1865 Three-Cent Piece. Produced early in 1865 and quite similar to type adopted.
Obverse: Liberty Head similar to that regularly adopted, but with date closer to bust.
Reverse: Similar to adopted type, but with ribbon ends larger and extending into the dentils.
