Liberty Head by Longacre, facing right, wearing Phrygian cap, three stars above forehead, ribbon with LIBERTY at neck, stars surrounding, date 1860 below.
Reverse Description
Perched eagle with undulating ribbon above head, UNITED STATES OF AMERICA / FIVE DOLLARS around border; V is an inverted A.
