1836 Silver Pattern Half Dollar PR CAM J-57 Values

Details

Scholars have now determined that this coin is not a pattern, but is still often collected by pattern collectors as the first year of the Bust half with reeded edge. Regular issue. Not a pattern but by tradition often collected along with the pattern series.5 At least a dozen or two were struck from mirror Proof dies, some for presentation. Circulation strikes were made from unpolished dies. Examples exist today in all circulated grades, Mint State, and Proof.

Reverse: Perched eagle, UNITED STATES OF AMERICA and denomination as 50 CENTS around border.
