The Greysheet Catalog (GSID) of the $20 Saint Gaudens Gold, Proof (1908–1915) series of Pre-1933 Gold Coinage in the U.S. Coins contains 19 distinct entries with CPG® values between $18,000.00 and $5,160,000.00.

Special presentation coins with various finishes are known for the St.-Gaudens series of $20 gold pieces. All are rare with low mintages and low survivorship. It is interesting to note that the matte (dull) finishes found on most proofs were extremely unpopular at the time of minting. Today they are highly coveted rarities.
