The Greysheet Catalog (GSID) of the Reichsschuldenverwaltung series of Germany in the World Currency contains 94 distinct entries with CPG® values between $1.00 and $10,200.00.
The Reichsschuldenverwaltung (German: Imperial Debt Office, RSV) was created in 1871 upon German unification as the successor organization of the Preußische Hauptverwaltung des Staatsschulden (Prussian Central Office for State Debt), founded in 1820. It was headquartered in Berlin.
The RSV issued Reichskassenscheine (Imperial Treasury Notes) between 1874 and 1906, Darlehenskassenscheine (State Loan Notes) from 1914 to 1922, and in late 1918 pressed interest coupons into service. As the German economy hit a crisis point in 1923 due to chronic hyperinflation, a range of treasury bills were also made legal tender. By the end of 1923, hyperinflation had rendered all RSV issues worthless and note issuance ceased.
