In Egypt, all 5- and 10-piastre currency notes have always been issued by the government through the ministry of finance. Larger denomination banknotes were issued by the National Bank of Egypt from 1899 to 1960 (B101 - B134), and by the Central Bank of Egypt from 1960 until present day (B301 - B341). Each signature appears twice; once in English, and once in Arabic.
