1971 Doubled Die Obverse One Cent MS RD FS-102 Values
Details
The 1971 doubled die Lincoln cent is a lesser-known variety that isn't quite as popular among the general collecting base as the 1969-S or 1972 doubled dies but nevertheless does have a following among some series enthusiasts. Doubling is minor but can be seen in the inscriptions LIBERTY and IN GOD WE TRUST. Perhaps a few hundred examples exist across all grades.
Obverse: Bust of Abraham Lincoln framed by IN GOD WE TRUST on the top periphery. The word LIBERTY to the left of the portait and the date postioned on the right side.
Reverse: Lincoln memorial building centered with words ONE CENT, UNITED STATES OF AMERICA on top and bottom periphery. E PLURIBUS UNUM centered above the top of the memorial.
