1956 Doubled Die Reverse One Cent PR RD DCAM FS-801

Details

While 1956 proof Lincoln cents are common, it is extremely difficult to find pieces grading higher than PR67 and to find those of any grade with strong cameo details. Collectors and dealers will pay robust premiums to buy pieces exhibiting strong cameo effects on both the obverse and reverse, as such pieces are rare.

Obverse: Bust of Abraham Lincoln framed by IN GOD WE TRUST on the top periphery. The word LIBERTY to the left of the portait and the date postioned on the right side.

Reverse: Wheat ears flanking the words ONE CENT, UNITED STATES OF AMERICA. The motto E PLURIBUS UNUM on the top perimeter.
