The 1935 Philadelphia Lincoln cent is an extremely common coin in all circulated grades and even into the Red Gem levels. Higher-end pieces, those grading better than MS66, are perhaps most attractive to registry set collectors ' folks who vie for the highest-quality examples and are willing to pay a pretty penny for the privilege.
Obverse: Bust of Abraham Lincoln framed by IN GOD WE TRUST on the top periphery. The word LIBERTY to the left of the portrait and the date and mintmark (If any) positioned on the right side.
Reverse: Wheat ears flanking the words ONE CENT, UNITED STATES OF AMERICA. The motto E PLURIBUS UNUM on the top perimeter.
