Details
The 1932 Philadelphia Lincoln cent is one of the tougher Philly-minted issues from the 1930s. The coin has a mintage of less than 10 million and most of these coins experienced heavy wear in a Great Depression-era economy. Still several thousand remain in uncirculated grades with a great many of all color designations available up through MS65. In MS66, the 1932 penny is scarce, and examples grading higher than that are rare.
Obverse: Bust of Abraham Lincoln framed by IN GOD WE TRUST on the top periphery. The word LIBERTY to the left of the portrait and the date and mintmark (If any) positioned on the right side.
Reverse: Wheat ears flanking the words ONE CENT, UNITED STATES OF AMERICA. The motto E PLURIBUS UNUM on the top perimeter.
