1924 One Cent MS RD
Details
The 1924 Philadelphia Lincoln cent is a common coin in circulated grades, but it is a different story when discussing Red Gems above MS65. The 1924 penny is one of the most difficult Philadelphia Lincoln cents to locate in the better Red uncirculated grades and is of similar scarceness to several of the tougher Philly issues from the teens, particularly when comparing MS66 and especially MS67 specimens.
Obverse: Bust of Abraham Lincoln framed by IN GOD WE TRUST on the top periphery. The word LIBERTY to the left of the portrait and the date and mintmark (If any) positioned on the right side.
Reverse: Wheat ears flanking the words ONE CENT, UNITED STATES OF AMERICA. The motto E PLURIBUS UNUM on the top perimeter.
