1912-D One Cent MS RD
Details
The 1912-D Lincoln cent is a semi-key coin that is difficult in circulated grades and scarce in the uncirculated range. Strike is variable on this coin, with some examples clearly better struck than others, characteristic of early mint marked Lincoln cents. Examples in Red Gem are rare, especially in MS65RD or better, however the red color is normally strong on these high-end uncirculated pieces.
Obverse: Bust of Abraham Lincoln framed by IN GOD WE TRUST on the top periphery. The word LIBERTY to the left of the portrait and the date and mintmark (If any) positioned on the right side.
Reverse: Wheat ears flanking the words ONE CENT, UNITED STATES OF AMERICA. The motto E PLURIBUS UNUM on the top perimeter.
