Obverse: William Barber’s Amazonian design: Liberty seated, facing left, with her right hand touching the head of a perched eagle, her left arm resting on a shield and her hand holding a sword.

Reverse: Barber’s standing eagle with talons holding shield inscribed IN GOD WE TRUST. UNITED STATES OF AMERICA / QUAR. DOL. around border.
