1857 Copper-Nickel Pattern Cent PR J-186 Values

Details

1857 Cent.

Obverse: Head of Liberty facing left, coronet inscribed LIBERTY, essentially the same style as later used on the regular nickel three-cent pieces of 1865: 13 stars around, date 1857 below. Die also used to strike the J-189 $2.50 and later muled with an 1860 die to create a numismatic fantasy (J-270).

Reverse: Open wreath enclosing ONE CENT widely spaced, die used in 1853 to coin J-149 and other issues.
