The Greysheet Catalog (GSID) of the Barber Dimes (1892–1916) series of Dimes in the U.S. Coins contains 5 distinct entries with CPG® values between $9.91 and $15,000.00.
Barber dimes, formally known as "Liberty Head" dimes, were designed by Charles E. Barber and struck from 1892 through 1916. Notable for their large bust of Miss Liberty wearing a Phrygian cap, Barber dimes share a common obverse design with the quarter and half dollar of the era and are popular with collectors of classic type coins.
Barber dimes are generally common coins in the lower circulated grades, though there are several issues that are scarce across the grading spectrum. The 1893 ?3 Over 2,? 1895-O, 1901-S, and 1903-S dimes are the rarest issues, with the 1894-O, 1896-O, 1896-S, 1897-O, 1904-S, 1905-O Micro O, and 1913-S ranking among the semi keys. All dates, even those not considered categorically scarce coins, are challenging in grades of AU50 or better.
