Details

The Kagin-28 is Augustus Bechtler’s 22-carat half eagle variant. Approximately two dozen examples are known, most of which are graded XF or AU. A single, mint state specimen, owned by a North Carolina family from the mid-19th century until 2006, is the finest known of the variety.
