(2024) U.S. Army Medal MS Silver, Matte Finish Values

Details

The United States Army has protected America since 1775, before the Declaration of Independence was even signed. This 99.9% silver medal pays tribute to America’s first institution — led by George Washington — and all soldiers past, present, and future. From the Battles of Lexington and Concord to the beaches of Normandy and conflicts in the Middle East, the U.S. Army has fought for and safeguarded American liberty with loyalty, respect, and honor. This enduring tribute depicts the Army’s core values and history, making it a powerful statement to the selfless service, duty, integrity, and personal courage of all Army personnel. Honor the soldier in your life or recall your own service with this fine silver medal, expertly crafted by the United States Mint.

up This coin is made of Silver and has a current melt value of $76.24

Obverse: The obverse design (heads) depicts Continental and modern soldiers “at the ready” with the weapons of their respective eras. They represent the continuity of the U.S. Army since its beginnings and its continuing mission to defend our country.

Reverse: The reverse design (tails) juxtaposes the seven core values of the Army against the U.S. Army flag, with both the flag and its streamers lifted by a breeze. The streamers from several major battles have visible text, including APPOMATTOX 1865, LEXINGTON 1775, ABEYANCE 2014 - 2015, TET COUNTEROFFENSIVE 1968, and LUZON 1944 - 1945. Inscriptions are the Army’s core values— “LOYALTY,” “DUTY,” “RESPECT,” “SELFLESS SERVICE,” “HONOR,” “INTEGRITY,” and “PERSONAL COURAGE.”
