1983 Doubled Die Reverse One Cent MS RD FS-802
Details
The 1983 doubled die cent exhibits some of the strongest reverse hub doubling seen on any Lincoln cent, making this a particularly interesting and popular variety. Doubling is visible to the naked eye and is most prominent in the inscriptions E PLURIBUS UNUM and ONE CENT, as well as the word UNITED in the legend UNITED STATES OF AMERICA.
Obverse: Bust of Abraham Lincoln framed by IN GOD WE TRUST on the top periphery. The word LIBERTY to the left of the portait and the date postioned on the right side.
Reverse: Lincoln memorial building centered with words ONE CENT, UNITED STATES OF AMERICA on top and bottom periphery. E PLURIBUS UNUM centered above the top of the memorial.
