1924 Huguenot-Walloon Half dollar MS Values
Details
This commemorative designed by George T. Morgan (of Morgan dollar fame) honors the 300th anniversary of the nation's middle states, spanning from the Delaware Valley south toward the Carolinas, by the Walloons and French and Belgian Huguenots. More than 142,000 examples were made and widely distributed to the general public.
While the coin saw a huge mintage, not many were saved in the higher Mint State grades. Most are encountered in the grades of MS62-65, but availability drops off significantly in the MS66 and MS67 range and are quite scarce at these levels. Most are well struck and offer pleasing luster.
