1921 Morgan One Dollar MS Values
Details
Following a hiatus of some 17 years, the Morgan dollar series picked back up for one final year in 1921. These Philadelphia-minted Morgan dollars from 1921 are extremely common in circulated grades up through MS65, though they are scarcer in MS66 and extremely rare in MS67. PLs and DMPLs are also rare. The Morgan dollar series came to a close by the last days of 1921, when the Peace dollar type debuted.
Obverse: Portrait of Liberty centered. On the left are found 7 stars with the words E*PLURIBUS*UNUM followed by 6 stars on the right. The date is positioned at the bottom.
Reverse: The heraldic eagle is centered holding a bunch of arrows and branch surrounded by and olive leaves. The words UNITED STATES OF AMERICA * ONE DOLLAR frame the periphery. Mint mark, if any, appears above the letters DO of DOLLAR.
