1914 Matte Finish One Cent PR RD Values
Details
Lincoln matte proofs are scarce as a group, and the 1914 cent is no exception. While lower-end examples turn up with some degree of regularity in the high-end Lincoln circles, nice examples are difficult regardless of color designation. Registry set collectors will pay high premiums for top-grading specimens with few spots and nice color.
Obverse: Bust of Abraham Lincoln framed by IN GOD WE TRUST on the top periphery. The word LIBERTY to the left of the portait and the date postioned on the right side.
Reverse: Wheat ears flanking the words ONE CENT, UNITED STATES OF AMERICA. The motto E PLURIBUS UNUM on the top perimeter.
