1895 One Cent PR RD Values
Details
The mintage drops a bit to 2,062 for the 1895 proof Indian Cent but it is still too high to be anything more than a type coin. Very common with the brown color designation. Gradually more scarce in red-brown especially PR66 or finer. Red gems are rare and any cameo is rare as well. Look for attractively toned brown pieces or blazing red surfaces. They are in demand and are not very hard to locate.
Obverse: A portrait bearing the likeness of a Native American in full headdress framed by the words UNITED STATES OF AMERICA around the periphery. The date is centered at the bottom under the portrait.
Reverse: The reverse bears the denomination of ONE CENT in the center surrounded by a wreath bearing a ribbon with arrows tied in at the bottom center.
