1893 One Cent PR RD Values
Details
The mintage drops a bit to 2,195 for the 1893 proof Indian Cent but it is still too high to be anything more than a type coin. Very common with the brown color designation. Gradually more scarce in red-brown especially PR66 or finer. Red gems are rare and any cameo is rare as well. Beautifully toned brown pieces or blazing red surfaces are the most coveted and are not too difficult to come across.
Obverse: A portrait bearing the likeness of a Native American in full headdress framed by the words UNITED STATES OF AMERICA around the periphery. The date is centered at the bottom under the portrait.
Reverse: The reverse bears the denomination of ONE CENT in the center surrounded by a wreath bearing a ribbon with arrows tied in at the bottom center.
