1885-O GSA Hoard One Dollar MS Values
Details
The 1885-O GSA Morgan dollar is a scarcer GSA dollar, as are all non-CC Morgan dollars. GSA silver dollar collectors vie for the small numbers known to exist, and they can be found in circulated and uncirculated condition as well as in soft or hard packs. It should be noted that, due to the extreme popularity of GSA Morgan dollars but small number of available 1885-O examples, these pieces usually enjoy significant to hefty premiums over similarly graded or conditionally equivalent raw or typical certified 1885-O Morgan dollars. PLs and DMPLs are rare and desirable.
Obverse: Portrait of Liberty centered. On the left are found 7 stars with the words E*PLURIBUS*UNUM followed by 6 stars on the right. The date is positioned at the bottom.
Reverse: The heraldic eagle is centered holding a bunch of arrows and branch surrounded by and olive leaves. The words UNITED STATES OF AMERICA * ONE DOLLAR frame the periphery. Mint mark, if any, appears above the letters DO of DOLLAR.
