1885-CC GSA Hoard, Hard package One Dollar MS PL Values
Details
The 1885-CC GSA Morgan dollar is one of the scarcer GSA dollars, though by no means is it rare. From a mintage of 228,000, a total of 148,285 were released, or more than half the coin's original production run. GSA 1885-CC Morgan dollars are encountered in soft packs and hard packs, and while many are uncirculated some are circulated. Some PLs and DMPLs exist and these and all other high-grade 1885-CC GSA Morgan dollars are in high demand.
Obverse: Portrait of Liberty centered. On the left are found 7 stars with the words E*PLURIBUS*UNUM followed by 6 stars on the right. The date is positioned at the bottom.
Reverse: The heraldic eagle is centered holding a bunch of arrows and branch surrounded by and olive leaves. The words UNITED STATES OF AMERICA * ONE DOLLAR frame the periphery. Mint mark, if any, appears above the letters DO of DOLLAR.
