1882-CC GSA Hoard, Die Break Cap & Band One Dollar MS VAM-3D Values

Details

The 1882-CC Morgan dollar was released to the public by the GSA in huge numbers, with 605,029 sold over the course of the 1970s and early 1980s. This represents about half of the total 1,133,000 examples struck, suggesting large sums of these coins were simply never released in the immediate months and years after they were made. Most encountered in GSA hard packs and soft packs are uncirculated, though some are found with circulation wear. PLs and DMPLs in GSA packaging are rare and highly sought after.
