1854 Restrike One Dollar PR CAM Values

Details

Cameo surfaces. All but one known proof 1854 dollar is a restrike with the reverse die from 1859. These also feature a blundered date obverse that shows remnants of two widely misplaced digits. An errant 4 is visible near the rock base above the primary 54, and the top of a second misplaced 4 sits atop a dentil below the primary 4. No die defect is seen in the second A of AMERICA.

Obverse: Lady Liberty is seated on a rock bearing a shield with the word LIBERTY. 13 stars appear on the periphery. The date is centered at the bottom middle.

Reverse: The heraldic eagle is centered in the design with the words UNITED STATES OF AMERICA and ONE DOL. around the periphery.
