1853 U.S. Assay Office 20 Dollar Gold MS TWENTY D., 884 THOUS, K-17 Values

Details

The 1853 884-Thousandths $20 is nearly as rare as the 1852/1 $20, with around two dozen examples in private hands. Amon Carter’s choice mint state specimen is the finest known example, and any fully uncirculated example would fall within the condition census. A single specimen was recovered from the S.S. Central America.
