Perforated with a cicular hole prior to striking.

Obverse: CENT above, 1850 below, with an ornamental rosette to left and right.

Reverse: Wreath enclosing ONE CENT as used in 1853 to strike other patterns, the denomination on some varieties being mostly obliterated by a perforation.
