1795 Plain Edge, Punctuated Date, Thick Planchet Half Cent MS BN C-4b Values

Details

The thick planchet variety is somewhat speculative in value as the coin was possibly produced in error. Just one example is known. It sold in the Missouri Cabinet (lot 29) for $120,750 in January 2014 (Goldberg Auctions)

Obverse: Lady Liberty portrayed, facing right, with a pole and cap (on the pole). The word LIBERTY appears across the top periphery and the date at the bottom.

Reverse: The words UNITED STATES OF AMERICA around the periphery surround a wreath framing the words HALF CENT. The wreath is tied by a bow at the bottom and the denomination of 1/200 at the bottom center.
