Berlin, January 30, 2024 - From February 2 to 4, the crème de la crème of the international numismatic scene will once again gather at the Estrel Congress Center in Berlin, the venue for the world's largest coin fair, the World Money Fair. More than 300 exhibitors from over 50 nations will showcase their numismatic collections on 9,000 square meters of exhibition space along Berlin's Sonnenallee – from traditional collector's items to fascinating novelties with impressive engravings.

"The World Money Fair is not only for connoisseurs of numismatics," says Goetz-Ulf Jungmichel, Managing Director of the World Money Fair. "Many exhibitors also offer opportunities for people who are just discovering their passion for collecting or are interested in coins and medals as investments." For this reason, the Professional Association of German Coin Dealers, for example, offers a beginner's consultation on coin collecting in the entrance area of the fair.

Guest country France: Insight into Coin Production and Olympic Commemorative Coins

One of the highlights of this year's World Money Fair is undoubtedly the special role that France plays as the guest country. In collaboration with the state mint "Monnaie de Paris," France presents itself in the entrance area of the Estrel Congress Center on a special exhibition space. Visitors can witness the entire coin creation process here, from the initial idea and design to minting and production, all illustrated through original sketches in display cases and multimedia presentations. Additionally, the introduction of the official series of multipart 2-euro commemorative coins with the emblem "Paris 2024" for the Olympic and Paralympic Games in the summer is considered a numismatic highlight of the year.

Münze Österreich and Münze Deutschland: Masterful Processing of Precious Metals

One of the largest exhibitors at the World Money Fair is Münze Österreich, known for its excellent processing of precious metals and coin manufacturing. The company produces over 350 million coins annually, placing it among the world's elite coin mints. Also noteworthy is the stand of Münze Deutschland, which is responsible for distributing collector and commemorative coins of the Federal Republic of Germany and is also one of the largest exhibitors at the fair.

Lectures on the Live Stage – and a One-Meter Gold Bar

A new feature at this year's World Money Fair is the "Live Stage," where coin providers and mints present their innovations on a stage in the entrance area of the Estrel Congress Center. In addition to lectures on various topics, there is information on minting errors and counterfeits. Agosi AG also provides a lasting memory of the World Money Fair, as the gold and silver refinery presents a one-meter gold bar, allowing visitors to take photos in front of it in the entrance area.

World Money Fair Club: Connect, Exchange, Experience

Also new is the "World Money Fair Club," which is presented for the first time at the World Money Fair 2024. The club aims to provide a year-round forum for collectors to connect, exchange, and receive information and invitations to interesting events. Membership in the club is free and offers exclusive benefits such as a 20 percent discount on the fair ticket price and a club lounge in Foyer 4 of the Estrel Congress Center. Sack & Kiesselbach also presents a special embossing machine in Hall 2: Club members can mint their own club medal here.

For collectors and coin enthusiasts, the fair starts on Friday, February 2, at 10 am. To avoid long lines at the box office, the fair has introduced an online ticket system. Tickets can be booked and printed at a discounted price of 17 euros on the World Money Fair website (www.worldmoneyfair.de). At the box office, guests pay 19 euros for admission.
